Albert Pineda Martinez popularly known as Albert Martinez is a Filipino actor, director and producer. He was born and raised in Cebu City in the Philippines. He has a Spanish Filipino descent. His parents are Bert Martinez and Margarita Pineda.

He also cites John Travolta’s acting style as his basis on his won film roles. Albert also portrayed the roile of Ferdinand Fuentebuella in Ikaw Lang Mamahalin.
His most recent role was as a down to earth husband in magnifico 2003. The role was critically acclaimed. He also starred in the TV drama series Sa Piling Mo together with an en semble cast. He later directed his movie Rosario which was shown at the 2010 Metro Manila Festival. He is a current contract actor with ABS-CBN.

Albert Martinez, a widower for 3 years, not looking for love
MANILA — Veteran actor Albert Martinez is not keen on looking for a new love, three years after he lost his wife, Liezl Martinez, to cancer in 2015.
In an interview on Wednesday at the press conference for his newest series “Kadenang Ginto,” Martinez stressed that he does not want to think about new romance.
“I’m not looking for it but when it happens, it will happen. That’s the reason also I’m keeping myself busy because I don’t want to think about it,” explained Martinez, who is now 57.
“Mahirap kasi kapag hinanap mo ‘yon and then you stumble into the wrong person. Kawawa naman ang mga anak ko, kawawa rin naman ako,” he added.
Asked if he’s not yet ready to fall in love again, Martinez replied: “Let’s put it this way: wala pang dumarating.”
“Kadenang Ginto” will premiere this Monday, October 8, after “It’s Showtime.”
