Herrera made his acting debut with the role of Francisco in ‘‘Amar Te Duele’’ in 2002, and went on to play notable characters in several series, first cast to play Juan David Rodríguez Pineda in ‘‘Clase 406’’ in 2002, a comedy series which received a mostly positive response. In 2004, he portrayed Miguel Arango Cervera one of the main characters in ‘‘Rebelde’’, alongside Dulce María and Anahí, which proved among the teenage audience.
