Max Weinberg Net Worth $35 Million

Max was raised in a Jewish family alongside his three sisters, by parents Bertram and Ruth Weinberg. His family moved frequently so he spent his childhood days in suburban cities Maplewood and South Orange. Since the early days, Max and music became one, as he often visited Broadway shows from the age of two, and little by little grew fond of pit orchestras, and later of country and western music. He started playing from the age of six, and had his first appearance when he turned seven, as he played drums for the bar mitzvah band. Soon he became a child star, performing at local events with Herbie Zane.

He went to the Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel, and after matriculation enrolled at the Adelphi University, but then transferred to Seton Hall University, majoring in film studies. He aspired to become a lawyer like his father, however, his love for music overcame the desire for a career as a lawyer. For quite some time, Max played in weddings, bars and at bar mitzvah, until he found a job as part of the pit band for the Broadway musical “Godspell”.

His life changed in 1974, when he met and auditioned for Bruce Springsteen and his E-Street Band. He was accepted, and since then, has been the drummer of Band, although he took a break from the band in 1988 until 1999. He followed Springsteen on tours, Born To Run from 1975-1977, Darkness Tour 1978-1979, The River Tour 1980-1981, Born In The U.S.A 1984-1985, Tunnel Of Love Express in 1988 and Human Rights Now, also in 1988. In 1999 Bruce reformed the band and embarked on a Reunion tour, which lasted until 2000. Two years later, Max followed Bruce on The Rising tour, 2002-2003, and since then has been a part of every album and tour, including Working On A Dream, 2009, Wrecking Ball Tour 2012-2013, The River Tour 2016, and most recently, Springsteen announced new tour, Australia & New Zealand Summer Tour in 2017.
Apart from playing for Springsteen, Max`s net worth increased through his engagement as the bandleader of the The Max Weinberg 7 which performs as the band for the Late Night With Conan O` Brien from 1993 until 2010, when he decided to focus completely on the E Street Band.
He was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

Regarding his personal life, Max has been married to Becky since 1978; the couple has two children.

Max is also known for his philanthropic activities; over the years he has supported such foundations and organizations as Overlook Hospital in Summit, the Monmouth County SPCA, Prevention First, and The Joan D’Ancy ALS Foundation, among others. Thanks to his contributing, Max received the Humanitarian of the Year award by the Temple Rodeh Torah.
